Images selected from contest celebrating the Commonwealth
Alexandria, VA - Burke & Herbert Bank has released its 2011 calendar featuring the images selected in its third annual photography contest. The photography contest theme was “Virginia People & Places” and the full-color calendar features the 13 winning photographs along with two pages of “Honorable Mention” selections.
The calendar will be available starting Monday, November 29, 2010 on a complimentary basis while supplies last at all of the bank’s 22 branches located throughout Northern Virginia.
“We are delighted with the beautiful photographs in our 2011 calendar,” said Toni Andrews, Vice President of Public Relations at Burke & Herbert Bank. “We are fortunate that so many talented photographers participated and allowed us to showcase their terrific work in our annual calendar.”
The bank invited photographs to be submitted during its contest this summer. From those, the winning images were selected with the assistance of Pete Duvall, a local photographer who teaches workshops and classes for the Art League School in Alexandria, The Washington Glass School and Maryland Parks & Recreation.
