Email Phishing Alert

We have learned of an email phishing scheme that involves sending fraudulent email messages made to look as if they have been sent by NetTeller, the name of the platform on which we run Online Banking at Burke & Herbert Bank. The goal of the fraudulent email is to trick you into giving up your account information and other private information.

What to Look Out For
The "From" line includes the false email address "customer _service" The Subject Line of the email message says "NetTeller Watch Notice." The body of the email asks the recipient to click on an embedded link.

If you receive one of these messages, we recommend you delete it right away, and be sure not to click on the link within the message. Please contact us at 703-684-1655 to let us know if you received this fraudulent message.

Remember: Your Page Includes Verification Protection
Your Burke & Herbert Bank Online Banking login page includes an authorization image – one that you selected – to help you verify that you are on the legitimate, secure page. Always be sure your chosen image is visible before entering your Online Banking password.

Beware of any unsolicited email that asks for your personal information. Burke & Herbert Bank will never ask you to provide personal, confidential information via email.
