Bank Branches Accepting Coats through December 16 for Local Neighbors in Need
Alexandria, VA–Beginning today through December 16, Burke & Herbert Bank branches are accepting new or gently used coats for the 12th annual Share the Warmth Coat Drive. Done in partnership with NBC-4, the Salvation Army, and Crest Advanced Dry Cleaners, thousands of coats have been collected since the program’s inception. The coats are cleaned by Crest Advanced Dry Cleaners and distributed to area residents in need by the Salvation Army.
“We don’t want anyone in our community to be cold this winter. By using our branch network across northern Virginia and Fredericksburg, we hope we are making it easier for our very generous neighbors to contribute coats,” stated Joseph F. Collum, Bank Executive Vice President, Director of Branch & Business Banking. “With recent hard times, this year’s coat drive is needed more than ever.“
New and gently worn coats for adults and children can be dropped off at any of the Bank’s twenty-three branches in the region. Everyone dropping off a coat will receive a coupon good for 25% off their next dry cleaning order courtesy of opens in a new windowCrest Advanced Dry Cleaners.
