Regional Winners Advance to National Competition
Students across the Bank’s five state markets, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Kentucky, and West Virginia, were invited to participate in the 2024-25 Lights, Camera, Save! Video Contest. Students, 13-18 years of age, created 30-second videos promoting positive money management and submitted them to the Bank at the end of 2024. Out of the entries received, two contestants were selected to represent Burke & Herbert Bank in the National contest hosted by the American Bankers Association (ABA) Foundation this January.

Beginning Tuesday, January 14, the public will be invited to view and vote on all the entries received by the ABA Foundation via their Instagram site. Please visit the ABA’s Instagram page and help Lela and Jovanny advance to the final round where they will have the opportunity to earn up to $5,000 by voting for their video.
The Lights, Camera, Save! Video Contest is an annual program offered to member banks by the American Bankers Association. Burke & Herbert Bank has hosted a regional contest since 2015. Our student entrants have collectively won close to $20,000!
