COLLECTING COATS October
15 through November 30 Throughout Northern Virginia
Alexandria, Virginia – Burke & Herbert Bank is pleased to announce the return of its annual coat drive. Beginning October 15 through November 30, Burke & Herbert Bank is accepting new or gently used coats for the 14th annual Share the Warmth Coat Drive across northern Virginia. Done in partnership with NBC-4 and the Salvation Army, the drive provides thousands of coats to area residents in need.
“For over a decade, our community has come through with an outpouring of new and gently used coats to support those in need in our neighborhoods. We’re honored to be able to use our branch network to facilitate this program and keep everyone warm this winter,” stated Joseph F. Collum, Bank Executive Vice President, Chief Business Banking Officer. “This is what true community banking is all about. Please join us and help us share the warmth! “
New and gently worn coats for children and adults can be dropped off at any of twenty-five branches in the northern Virginia region. Full details and locations are available on the Bank’s website. Donation receipts are available upon request.
“As the seasons change and the days become colder, we are incredibly grateful to be the recipients of the Share the Warmth Coat Drive. We thank everyone for sharing the warmth and helping us continue our mission to make a difference in our community.” Said Major Wilma Mason, Area Commander of The Salvation Army National Capital Area Command.
