Alexandria, VA – Burke & Herbert Bank is pleased to announce that at its most recent meeting, the Board of Directors elected Mark G. Anderson as a new Director. Mr. Anderson is a lifelong Alexandrian, and an experienced business leader, having started and built two significant businesses. He is the founder and president of MGAC, Inc., a Washington, D.C.-based organization that provides project management leadership, cost advice, procurement support and technology integration for complex design and construction projects across the United States and six continents.

Mr. Anderson joins the Board of Directors of Burke & Herbert Bank with substantial prior experience as a board member, serving on the Haverford College Board of Managers, Scholarship Fund of Alexandria Board of Trustees, Virginia Theological Seminary Board of Trustees, and Calvary Women’s Services Board of Directors. He is a graduate of Haverford College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and undertook postgraduate studies in Engineering Administration at George Washington University. Mark is married to Cynthia Anderson, also a lifelong Alexandrian and the elected co-Chair of the Alexandria City School Board. They have two sons, Henry and Lee.
